Donation
Led by 300-hour teacher trainee Ana, this donation-based workshop is designed specifically for racquetball players who want to improve performance, reduce injury risk, and stay active in their sport for years to come. Racquet sports can lead to preventable injuries caused by overuse, repetitive motion, and high-impact movements without proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching. Yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness can support both the physical and mental demands of the game.
In this workshop, Ana will guide participants through a discussion on the most common racquetball-related injuries and how to prevent them, followed by a yoga practice focused on pre- and post-match mobility, strengthening, and balance. You’ll also learn breathing techniques to sharpen focus and support self-regulation during play. End with a grounding meditation using breath and visualization to aid recovery and enhance mental clarity.
Yoga mat required for this event. All other props will be provided.
Donations for this workshop will benefit To Write Love on Her Arms, a movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, & suicide.
